The rebuilding job of Mike Leach finally paid off in a bowl game for the Cougars last year. Even if it was one of the biggest collapses in football history when they lost the New Mexico Bowl to Colorado State, it still had to help to get that extra practice time and game experience for returning players. QB Connor Halliday has shown the ability to put up big numbers, but his turnovers have been a reoccurring factor in many of the Cougar's losses. When he is able to limit mistakes, Washington State is able to hang with most teams. A bowl game is definitely the goal again this year, and is not out of the question for this crew. It's hard to predict where those three or four conferences wins will come from though.
