Mike MacIntyre has this Colorado program going in a positive direction. I really believe that. The problem is the Buffs are playing catch up in a league that has progressed so much in the past few years. The Pac-12 has established itself as a legit contender to the SEC. While in the Big 12, Colorado was able to recruit players from the state of Texas with the pitch that four of the conference teams were in Texas and players would be able to get away from home, but still be able to go back and play in Texas. Now, the Buffs have to attack the state of California more than ever, and they are a step behind just about every other Pac-12 team in recruiting California. Hosting Washington State, Cal, or Arizona would've helped Colorado have a better chance of having a successful season. Unfortunately, none of those three come to Boulder this season. The best chance the Buffs have to win a conference game this season is on the road at Cal and at home vs. Utah.
