Two programs that are making strides to become better meet in the first week of the season. Even better that they are in-state rivals and get to play on a neutral NFL stadium. Colorado vs. Colorado State should be a great matchup of teams trying to win the recruiting ties close to home. I am leaning slightly towards the Rams in this one due to a more experience QB and a coach that has a chance of being the Mountain West coach of the year if everything falls right for CSU. Although it is clear the program is in better hands, they have yet to win the big one under Jim McElwain. A win against conference rival in Utah State could be a great opportunity to stamp themselves as a top conference team. If the Rams are able to win every game in their home state, and they have a good shot, they could have one of the best seasons in recent memory.
